Can Generosity Have Boundaries?
It’s okay to be a little selfish.
And by selfish, I mean wanting something for oneself more than wanting to give it to someone else. For example, I may want to keep $1,000 in my account as a security blanket, to pay my own bills, and to cover my child’s expenses more than I want to give it to someone in need at this time.
It’s like putting on your own oxygen mask in an aircraft before you attempt to help someone else put one on. You have to be present and be whole in order to better help someone else. If there is generosity in your heart, it’s ok to trust God to provide additional abundance with which you can freely give.
Flip for Workshop DetailsCan Generosity Have Boundaries?
You are invited to a meaningful workshop inspired by our upcoming e-book, When Self-Care and Generosity Meet. This workshop opens the door to an honest conversation about giving, boundaries, faith, wisdom, and the courage to care for others without neglecting oneself.
During the workshop, we will reflect together on questions such as: When is it right to give? When is it wise to pause? Can generosity have healthy boundaries? What exactly should I give?
If this topic speaks to you, I would love for you to join the conversation, contribute your voice, and support the release of When Self-Care and Generosity Meet when it becomes available as an e-book.
